INTO THE NOVACENE

– ABOUT THE WORK
Visually striking, fast paced and future facing. Into the Novacene is a contemporary dance work about the beginnings of a new age and of a new world. Created with an exceptional cast of 6 performers and inspired by research and literature written by engineer and scientist James Lovelock, the work takes us on a journey to a future. Set against a backdrop of co-existence between nature, humanity and digital technology living together as one system, the choreography captures the organic and the visceral, it plays upon a sense of curiosity, of meeting, of community and togetherness, as well as celebrates the fierce precision and poise of something futuristic. Here, we walk towards the future with the belief that is has to be great, and that it has to be epic.
